Canadian Museum of Human Rights, Winnipeg |

Donna & Ken, friends from our Danube cruise |
Winnipeg is a small city, and we had fun touring two museums, one that had dioramas of the early settlers to Manitoba, which gave me a chance to capture what life was like for our ancestors as they migrated west from Ontario.
In the afternoon, we met our friends we had met on our Danube cruise, and toured the amazing Museum of Human Rights - an architectural wonder not unlike the Sydney Opera House. Inside were tales of worldwide struggles to guarantee human rights for all people, a very moving tribute to people of all walk of life who gave their lives to this cause. Dinner was at a riverside bistro with great pizzas and salads, and then we were on our way out of town to a campground where we stayed overnight before we came back into the States for a week. The best news was that it started to warm up again, although rain is in the forecast. We've been so lucky with weather on this trip!
