What a joyful, grace-filled day with my two sisters! Carolyn is my oldest sister, and took care of me when I was a baby while she was convalescing from major back surgery (and in a full-body cast!). Jessie, my "baby" sister, was 14 when I left home, and this was the first time to be with her since then. Such a delightful time reminiscing, laughing and crying, and just experiencing God's grace together. Before our visit, I was thinking about Romans 15:5-7 where it says, "May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God."
Savoring each tender moment with these two sisters, and loving that we got to meet two of Jessie's kids as well - delightful, outgoing, kind people in their own right (and not really kids, either...both are in their 30s!). God is good!!!!
What a lovely story!
